Phones or no phones? Our results are back from the Cell Phone Policy survey! A total of 209 people filled out this survey. According to the data, most of the students in Century don’t prefer the phone policy. 65.1% of the people who filled out the survey don’t like the policy, 7.7% do like the policy, and the other 27.3% are in the middle.
6th grader Megan F said, “I don’t really like it because if we get our work done, we should be able to have free time once we’re done, also during lunch, in lunch we’re not doing anything that has to do with academics so it should be fine to have our phones out.”
7th grader Martial P. doesn’t care about the policy and said, “I mean, honestly, it matters what you are doing on your phone. If you are using it to cheat, no way. Meanwhile, if there is an emergency, I would like to contact my family.”
8th grader Makenna F. likes the policy and said, “[I like it] Because it’s good so that people don’t get distracted in class, or cheat. Although some people are on their phones still, it gives everyone a good time to get away and really focus.”
Thank you to all the students who filled out the survey!
