The 8th grade soccer team played their last game of the season against Silver Hills on October 2nd. Prior to the game the girls started warming up by doing stretches and taking warm up shots at the goal. At 5:20 the captains from each team met together, and when they came back to the team they went over their strategy for the game.

Unfortunately, Century lost to Silver Hills 4-7 and was eliminated from the district tournament. Player Bella Boyd had a hat trick, which is scoring three goals in one game. Boyd also had an assist on the other goal, which was scored by Khloe Webb.

Two players on Silver Hills received yellow cards for aggressively pushing our team after already being warned not to. Last school year’s volleyball team also had problems with Silver Hills players being overly physical during games, so it seems that trend is continuing into this year.

All of the girls played really hard and put their best effort into the game. It was a great first season of soccer and everyone was really excited to have it back. Boys’ soccer will begin March 2025.
