Do you have spirit? Spirit Week was October 28th -31st at Century Middle School.

On Monday October 28th was Breast Cancer Awareness Day. This day you have to DRESS IN ALL PINK!! On Monday, Grace Scurlock in 8th grade dressed up in all pink to show her spirit.

We asked Grace why she dressed up and Grace said, “I have a family friend who had breast cancer and that inspired me to dress up and show support to breast cancer reaserch.”

On Tuesday October 29th is disney v.s. Star Wars, are you going to dress up as a princess or Mickey Mouse or Luke skywalker? We’re not quite sure what 8th grader Quinn Milligan is going for on this day, but 8th grader Rachel Dawtthachin is rocking her Minnie Ears.

On Wednesday October 30th it was “Anything But a Backpack Day”. You had to stay school appropriate you were not allowed to bring anything noisy or living. There were lots of creative ideas. Many people brought suitcases, and one even used a chair!

The final day of spirit week was Thursday, October 31st – HAPPY HALLOWEEN! For this day, students and staff wore their costumes. The costumes could not have weapons or blood. But there were many creative costumes. A group of 8th grade boys showed their spirit by dressing up as gorillas. The office and counseling staff are dressed up at 101 Dalmations – HOW FUN!!! The publications class got a picture in the hall showing their awesome costumes because so many of their class of 42 students were dressed up. Overall spirit week was successful with all of the spirit that was shown.
