You are never too old to have fun. And Halloween is a night where you forget all about that math test you had the day before, how you did at practice, all the unnecessary drama… AND JUST HAVE FUN! Costumes show your personality and who you are so don’t be afraid to be BOLD, CONFIDENT, and BRAVE.
“I like that you can express your creativity in your costume and have fun about it too,” explains 8th grader Laila Medina.
You are never “too cool” to trick or treat or dress up for halloween. You only have a few more years of being a kid and you should enjoy it as much as you can. 8th grader Haylee Vaughan says, “it makes my inner child happy.”
Candy is probably the most iconic thing for Halloween and what it is known for. People all over the country go to their local supermarkets and get a whole bunch of candy to hand out to trick-or-treaters. All this month we had a poll on this website to find out from students whether they plan to trick-or-treat. Over 70% of you said you would trick-or-treat! Some people were undecided, and only a few said they are not trick-or-treating.
Besides trick-or-treating, some people celebrate with other traditions. Core plus teacher Mr. Volk says, “I’ll probably just watch a scary movie tonight.”
How do you celebrate? Will you dress up and go trick-or-treating, or stay in?
