Crowds cheering, loud people screaming with excitement, and happiness fills the air at the fundraiser assembly on August 20th. All three grades got to experience a fun way to get out of class and some students even got a chance to win cash and prizes.
The assembly was about our Power of Purpose fundraiser and how you can support your school and have a chance to win VIP nuggets tickets or a Disney World vacation for you and your family.
“My favorite part of the assembly was when they gave out two dollar bills,” said sixth grader Mia Milligan.
At the assembly, the host “T-money” handed out 2 dollar bills, fun prizes, and even let kids have a dance party. The crowd got even louder when he announced the fun prizes you could win for participating in the fundraiser.
7th grader Rin Martin said, “My favorite part of the assembly was when he had kids come up and dance.”
The Power of Purpose fundraiser is a great way for our school community to come together to raise money, and after the fundraiser, students who send at least ten emails or donate $50 get to participate in an extra special “Day of Awesomeness” during core plus time one day in September.
“I liked the assembly because it was a fun way to help the school raise money for our school to provide more resources for our classrooms,” says eighth grader Ruby Heile.
