Show Choir is one of many clubs offered at Century Middle School. The club is all about singing, dancing, and performing in front of others!
In Show Choir you have a chance to meet new people and have fun. The club meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:45 AM near the cafeteria doors. It's a great club to join if you love to have fun or just want to try something new.
“I like making new friends and learning dances and songs,” explains 7th grader Cara Seal. “I like to do theatre, and show choir is really fun, especially because it improves my skills.”
Show Choir is open to all grades at Century middle school. Anyone can join, even if you don’t have previous experience. You don’t even need to enjoy singing to have fun in Show Choir.
“I personally don’t like singing or dancing, but I like hip hop because it’s really fun and I enjoy it,” says 7th grader Barbara Barth.
Show choir is a safe space where no one will judge you just for having fun!
“I think I'd consider doing show choir,” says 7th grader Rylo Vivas. “I just like singing in general, because it's fun and creative and I just really enjoy it.”
You can join Show Choir at almost any time as long as it's not very close to a concert date, as you will not have learned the songs/dance.
“I like being able to sing my heart out because I just really love music and stuff,” said 6th grader Cora Smith.
Century music teacher Ms. Espey is the director for the Show Choir.
“Show Choir is a group of people that like to sing and dance, and we are preparing music for a concert in December," says Ms. Espey.
The December performance will take place on Tuesday, December 16th at 6pm at Century. Be sure to check it out to see the Show Choir and other Century music students put on a great show!
