Century Middle School’s first dance of the school year was Friday, December 1st. The dance was planned and hosted by the 8th grade leadership class.
Originally, the dance was supposed to be an after-school “social” that would take place 4pm – 6pm, but many students spoke out about the timing and convinced school administration to postpone the dance to December 1st.
The dance raised $2,187.64 in funds with admissions and food combined!
Students expressed that they thought the dance was a big success.
“I thought it was fun and had good decorations, and the thing I most enjoyed was probably the photo booth and food,” says 7th grade student Denicia Martinez.
“I thought that it was cute and fun, but I did think that it was silly that you couldn’t buy tickets from the front,” says 8th grade student Melia Eddlemon. “But what I enjoyed most was hanging out with my friends. I feel like it was a nice way to hang out outta of school.”
“It was great,” says 6th grade student Reece Evans, “I was dancing.”
