8th grader Macy Gauna designed this year’s “I Voted” sticker for Adams County. Her design was one of the winning submissions from a contest for creating the stickers.
For winning the contest, Macy received a $100 Visa gift card and a letter from her local Colorado U.S. Congress representative. The stickers will be handed out to people who vote in the current election, which ends November 7th.
Macy designed the sticker in school after Social Studies teacher Ms. Kristin Wallace told students about the contest. She had to design both an English and Spanish version of the sticker.
When asked about what she liked most about winning the contest, Macy said, “The experience… to show other people the hard work that was used.”
