Oasis club recently went on a hike to Lawn Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. The hike was attended by about 30 students and they traveled a total of 2.3 miles.
“I love that I get to spend a lot of time with my friends after school,” says seventh grader and OASIS Club member Rachel Dawtthachin. “Oasis hikes are extremely beautiful and I love that I get to enjoy nature with the people I love to be around.”
As they hiked through a canyon, the students and the teachers were yelling together “You belong outside,” (the slogan for OASIS club) and listened for their echo.
“When we were screaming the water at the mountain pushed back the sound at us making it bounce back,” explained 7th grader Shyla Gallegoes.
